This model was a personal project of mine as the Tec-9 is a favourite weapon of mine due to its unusual design and its established presence within Video Games over the years, so I decided to try and model it myself. The model took some reseach on my part, I managed to find some diagrams I used to use as a template in order to model the weapon, I am not normally too fond of modeling things in real life as it adds little creativity on my part, yet I found this a really engaging model to work on and I enjoyed it, I tried to make sure each dent, screw and detail was on there, I made a decent use of the normal map in an attempt to keep the item as low poly as I can. The gun was made in seperate parts where it is necessary in order for it to have a reload and firing animation. When I finished I wasnt 100% happy so I decided to have a try at giving it a paint job on the barrel, and I think that it gave it a new element to the Tec-9.
